Admitting You Don’t Know IS Liberating.
We’ve all heard that our energy flows to where and what we’re focusing on.
We’ve heard this, we’ve maybe even said this.
BUT are you putting it into practice in your day-to-day living?
One of my mentors says that you don’t know something unless you can state how it’s changed your life.
You don’t know unless you can clearly communicate how it has changed your life.
Hmm…
So, maybe you’ve heard that your energy is directed to your point of focus. Maybe you’ve said it. Maybe you’re nodding your head thinking “yup, I know that”.
But, can you tell me how it’s changed your life?
That’s tougher, isn’t it?
Most of us think that we know something when we can repeat it back. Really, isn’t that what we’re taught in school? It was for 99% of my formal education.
It’s not surprising then that most of us on this personal growth journey get tripped up thinking that we know something when we only know it.
We’ve heard it.
We can tell you the concept.
We have an intellectual understanding of it.
But we don’t really fucking know it because we haven’t INTEGRATED it into our life, into our BEingness.
It’s not a part of us, so when asked “how has it changed your life?” we falter.
We hem and haw because we’re stumped. We’ve been living as though we know something when actually we don’t.
It’s not a pleasant feeling when we realize this.
But the realization that you don’t actually know it IS liberating.
It brings you to a place of honest awareness. It opens your eyes to an opportunity to grow, to transform.
If you’re up for a challenge get out your journal and ask yourself how has the idea ‘energy flows where focus goes’ changed my life?
Maybe you’ll liberate yourself from a false truth and set yourself on the path to creating more of what you truly want.
Remember, you absolutely can Love Your Life and Live Your Dreams. It all begins within.
