Eyes On The Prize

Who are you? text vertically along a photo of a woman standing on a beach looking skywards with the text journaling prompts for uncovering who you are below

Keep your eyes on the prize.

The prize being, of course, your vision.

Now, this means you actually need to know what your vision is.

What is it that you want?
What DO you want?
What do YOU really want?

What do you want?

It’s amazing how many people don’t know what they want.

They can tell you a million and one things that they don’t want. But what they want… Well, that’s a whole other matter.

They don’t know.

Or more accurately they’re afraid to voice it.

Because way deep down they do know. You always know what you want.

But it’s safer to pretend that you don’t know.

It’s safer to allow the many doubts and fears and negative opinions weigh you down so that you lose all courage to name what it is that you do want.

Naming what you don’t want is easier.

It’s easier because you never risk succeeding.

It’s easier because the complaints, the “I don’t wants” are ‘normal’ and accepted by the majority.

What do most people talk about?

Not the future.

Not their hopes and dreams.

No, most conversations are about what’s wrong, what’s not good enough.

Most conversations are filled with gossip and complaints.

And we humans tend to want to fit in. So if we’re around people gossipping and complaining it’s quite easy to fall into it too.

BUT…

Is that what you want?

Is that where you want your focus to be?

Is that where you want your energy to flow?

Is that what you want to create in your life?

Because where focus goes energy flows and where energy flows creation occurs.

So what are you creating?

Are you creating more gossip, more complaints, more negativity?

Or are you creating more dreams, more desires, more optimism, and positivity?

It’s a choice.

It’s a choice to engage in low-vibe conversation or to walk away.

It’s a choice to be a chronic complainer or to be a solution seeker.

It’s a choice to be a gossip or to lift others up.

It’s a choice to focus on what you DO want instead of what you don’t want (even if you’re current circumstances are filled with a fuck ton of don’t wants).

It’s a choice to keep your eye on the prize or not.

It’s a choice—your choice.

Choice wisely.

Remember, you absolutely can Love Your Life and Live Your Dreams. It all begins within.
