Maybe it’s not unattainable…maybe you only need to trust a little bit more.

Trust…

Certainty…

Faith…

A knowingness that what you want is yours and is available to you.

When you come from that place worry ceases and life flows.

You naturally find yourself practicing the principle of high involvement, low attachment. And you naturally find yourself closer and closer to what you want.

My yoga practice is a continual reminder of this truth.

A couple of years ago, bird of paradise seemed completely unattainable. But the pose continued to draw me in. I researched the anatomy, begin practicing prep poses, saw myself gracefully moving into and out of the pose, and now—aside from persistently tight hamstrings—it’s nearly there.

The first time I attempted the pose in a class, while it seemed unattainable there was a part (a small part to be sure) of me knew that the pose was possible.

The part that believed it was unattainable was the part of me that was judging my fitness, strength, flexibility at that moment compared to the pose.

But, the part of me that knew I’d one day be doing it with ease. Well, that part wasn’t looking at my current physical reality.

No, that part was connected to the possibility, the vision.

It knew that if I had trust, certainty, and faith that I’d practice and would get there.

That part allowed me to practice the pose with a high level of involvement and presence even when I was so far away from the actual pose you couldn’t tell what I was trying to do.

There was no attachment to how it looked. No attachment to when I’d be able to achieve the pose.

High involvement. Low attachment.

Consistent practice.

Deliberate practice.

Presence while practicing.

Trust.
Faith.
Certainty.

And an inner knowingness that I’d get there.

With zero attachment to when or how.

High Involvement. Low attachment.

Where would practicing this help you worry less and achieve more?

Remember, you absolutely can Love Your Life and Live Your Dreams. It all begins within.
