The Past Can Be A Heavy Anchor Dragging You Down Or Wings Lifting You Up

The past can be a heavy anchor dragging you down or wings lifting you up.

It’s your choice.

So many people are choosing to live in the past.

They’re replaying events that happened.

Punishing themselves for “mistakes” they’ve made.

Continually telling themselves why things won’t work based on previous experiences.

Living in the stories and belief systems from last week, last month, last year, hell for some they’ve been living in the same stories for DECADES.

It’s easy to do. It’s also easy NOT to do.

It simply seems easier to keep living in the past, to keep projecting past results onto the future because it’s what you’ve been doing.

It’s been the default. It feels natural, which makes it seem easier.

But is it actually easier?

Is it really easier to replay old events (and be honest most the ones you replay are tinged with negativity) than to envision future possibilities?

Is it easier to punish yourself or to forgive yourself?

Is it easier to come up with reasons why it won’t work or reasons it will?

Is it easier to think thoughts that disempower you and leave you feeling like a total failure than it is to think empowering thoughts that fuel your confidence?

Is it?

I don’t think so. I’m convinced it’s actually harder and certainly more painful and less fulfilling.

It’s your choice though.

Do you want to allow the past to dictate your future?
Or do you want to release the past and create your future from this moment where infinite possibilities exist?

As always it’s up to you. It’s your choice.

Remember, you absolutely can Love Your Life and Live Your Dreams. It all begins within.
