What’s the measurement system for “too much”?
It’s too much.
You’re too much.
Your dreams are too much.
You’re asking for too much.
But, what’s “too much”?
What is the definition of “too much”?
Who gets to say what constitutes “too much”?
It’s all relative, isn’t it?
There is no universal definition of too much. No universal measurement system.
What is too much to one person may not be enough for someone else.
What’s too much in one context may not be enough in another.
It’s a vague idea. A dangerous one.
When we buy into the idea that what we want is too much we cut ourselves off from our dreams, from our soul’s desires.
And that is really fucking dangerous.
Cutting ourselves off from our dreams.
Separating ourselves from our soul’s truth.
Living out of alignment with our soul, our values.
It creates problems.
It creates dis-ease in our minds and bodies.
It has us falling into feelings of frustration, disappointment, depression.
By buying into someone else’s idea of “too much” we fail to live the life we know, deep in our hearts, that we’re here to live.
So, the next time you catch yourself saying something is too much.
The next time you find yourself shrinking down your dreams.
The next time you notice yourself asking for less than what you really want.
PAUSE.
And ASK yourself…
Whose belief system am I living in, whose definition of “too much” am I accepting as truth?
It’s not yours. I guarantee it.
Your definition of “too much” will never put you in the position of denying your desires.
So pause.
Check-in.
Question.
Change the definition.
And always remember, you absolutely can Love Your Life and Live Your Dreams. It all begins within.
