Possibilities or Limitations

Who are you? text vertically along a photo of a woman standing on a beach looking skywards with the text journaling prompts for uncovering who you are below

POSSIBILITIES or limitations

The choice is yours.

Whichever you argue for, defend, talk about, think about is what you’re going to get.

You don’t get both.

You know this. You know that possibilities and limitations are mutually exclusive.

So, why are you behaving otherwise?

Why are you pretending to be in the realm of possibility while simultaneously obsessing over all the reasons why it won’t work?

Do you know it won’t work?

Do you have a magic crystal ball telling you that what you want won’t happen?

Hmm…you don’t. That’s what I thought.

You don’t have a fucking magic ball that predicts the future. So stop acting as though you do.

Stop making excuses for why it won’t work.

Stop putting up obstacles before you’ve even taken a step toward what you want.

Stop making yourself so small, so weak by even entertaining the idea that you don’t have what it takes to get what you want.

Stop living in the limitations of the past and get in this moment.

This moment is new.

This moment is ripe with possibility.

The future is fucking wide open.

Don’t you get that?

Don’t you see?

The past does NOT determine the future.

Your past performance does not dictate your future performance.

Your past results do NOT determine your future results.

Go back, way back. If you actually believed that the past determines the future then you would never…

Crawl.
Walk.
Run.
Talk.
Tie your shoes.
Write your name.
Eat without getting food all over your head.
Read.
Brush your teeth.
Shampoo your hair.
Pull-on your socks.
Dress yourself.
Use a computer.
Drive a car.
And millions of other things that you now do.

Did you do any of those things or the millions of other things you do every day perfectly the first time you tried it?

Fuck no!

Each one took effort, persistence, determination, a willingness to fail.

You kept going. You didn’t try to stand one time, fall on your cute baby butt and say “that didn’t work, I’m never going to walk”.

Right? That sounds utterly ridiculous.

But, isn’t that what you’re doing now with your goals and dreams?

You worked out for a month and didn’t get the body you want, so you gave up.

You started a business and didn’t make 6-figures in 6 weeks, and now you’re whining and moaning about how hard it is.

You had a lousy break-up and now you’ve sworn off relationships.

You set a sales target and missed, and now you’re living in the land of “I never make the money I want”.

Stop it.

STOP it.

You’d never do any of the things you do now with ease if you acted this way, thought this way, judged yourself the way you do now for “failing”.

So, stop it already.

You deserve better.

You deserve to be the woman who decides what she wants and gets it because she did the work, all the work, to get it.

Make the decision. Make the motherfucking commitment to keep going no. matter. what. until you get it.

Do the inner work.

Take the inspired action.

Repeat. Repeat. Repeat.

And for the love of god stop stopping because one thing didn’t work.

Tap back into the persistence you had as a baby trying to walk and apply that energy to your dreams now.

And always remember, you absolutely can Love Your Life and Live Your Dreams. It all begins within.
